A Characterization of Negative User Stories
نویسندگان
چکیده
In the context of an agile project, negative interactions are addressed by equipping the ‘conventional’ positive user story engineering process with a number of conceptual models, including those for negative user story and negative role. The challenges inherent in eliciting negative uses, negative roles, and negative user stories are highlighted. The cost of engineering negative user stories is analyzed. The relationships among positive and negative user stories are considered. For illustration, a detailed example is presented. Keywords-agile methodologies; conceptual modeling; requirements engineering; risk management; security engineering; socio-technical distributed systems

متن کاملAnalysing Security and Software Requirements using Multi-Layered Iterative Model
Nowadays, security is of great concern for any organization developing software systems for various requirements. Moreover, the same becomes more complicated during integration of security measures with agile software development methodology due to its lightweight informal nature. The requirements engineering is considered as one of the key element associated with any software development proce...
متن کاملWhy We Need a Granularity Concept for User Stories
User stories are a widespread instrument for representing requirements. They describe small user-oriented parts of the system and guide the daily work of developers. Often however, user stories are too coarse, so that misunderstandings or dependencies remain unforeseeable. Granularity of user stories needs to be investigated more, but at the same time is a hard-to-grasp concept. This paper inve...
متن کاملWhat's in a User Story: IS Development Methods as Communication
This paper challenges claims made by Scrum proponents when characterising the communicative nature of user stories: including being more 'authentic' because they comprise spoken language and that they are stories.
